Applications Engineer/ Inside Sales:

Job Description

Phoenix Pumps, Inc. is a leading pump distributor/representative for Arizona. The company offers innovative pumping solutions & integrated supply services that utilizes PPI's vast product knowledge in pumps, flow meters, filtration and accessories. PPI is a stocking distributor with repair and fabrication capabilities to provide total customer solutions.  PPI is looking for an experienced inside sales/applications engineer. 

The inside sales/applications engineer will be responsible for responding to customer inquiries regarding company products and services.  The representative will process customer phone orders, check availability of stock, shipping dates, quote pricing, fill orders to customer specifications and process sales data via computer. Additional duties include assisting outside sales staff by preparing price quotes and sourcing product. 

Requirements

Qualified candidates should have 2+ years experience of applying pumps, sales experience and excellent communication skills.  The representative should be aggressive, able to work independently and have experience performing a majority of the functions. Prior inside sales/customer service experience, data entry skills, organization, multi tasking and customer focus is required.  Additionally, it is mandatory the the representative can meet the following qualifications:

  • Must have complete fluid hydraulic training course.

  • Must have the full understanding of reading centrifugal & positive displacement performance curves.

  • Must have detailed knowledge about electrical motors.

  • Must have the full understanding of NPSH, TDH and the affinity laws.

  • Must be competent in Microsoft Excel & Word.

Pump Repair Technician:

Requirements

  • 2+ years pump repair experience
  • Basic electrical knowledge
  • Valid driver's license
  • Clean background
  • Drug free

  • Ability to select pump applications
